Chamaeleo senegalensis, also known as the Senegal chameleon, is a genus and species of chameleon found only in West Africa. It inhabits wet savanna and may be found in parts of Senegal, Mali, Nigeria, and Cameroon. The Senegal chameleon is classified as “Least Concern” by the IUCN Red List because to its large range and mysterious population. But, the pet trade might pose a challenge. The Senegal chameleon may grow to a length of 20 to 30 centimeters, however males are typically shorter than females.
