Granite Burmese Python For Sale

One of the longest snakes is the Burmese python (Python bivittatus). The IUCN Red List classifies it as Vulnerable because of its widespread distribution in Southeast Asia. Granite Burmese Pythons are tan in color and have dark spots on their backs and sides that look like giraffe spots. These spots are different sizes and shapes and fit together like puzzle pieces.

Appearance

The Burmese python is among the world’s five biggest snake species. Its natural range encompasses a considerable portion of Southeast Asia. These snakes are mostly black, but they have a number of brown spots all over their backs that are outlined in black. A giraffe’s patterning is an inspiration for the bright designs. Burmese pythons are well-liked by the reptile keeping community and the leather industry, respectively, in part because of their aesthetically pleasing skin patterns.

Habits and Lifestyle

Burmese pythons live in the rainforest, however they are solitary and active primarily at night. Little ones are just as comfortable on the ground as they are in the trees, but as they become bigger, they start to stick to walking around on the ground. They can also swim quite well and can remain underwater for up to half an hour.

The only times you’re likely to see a Burmese python are when one is hunting or is being threatened; otherwise, they’ll spend most of their time hidden in the underbrush. These snakes may brumate (hibernate) for several months during the winter season in the northern portions of their territory, typically under a hollow tree, a hole in the riverbed, or even under boulders.

Diet and Nutrition

It’s important to note that Burmese pythons eat meat. Prey items that are the right size for them include birds, mammals, amphibians, and other reptiles.
