Lake Urmia Newt For Sale
Salamandridae includes the yellow spotted newt (Neurergus crocatus), also known as the Azerbaijan newt, Azerbaijan mountain newt, mountain newt, and the Lake Urmia Newt. It may be found in the highlands to the west of Lake Urmia in Iran, north-eastern Iraq, and south-eastern Turkey.
Appearance
Their whole length ranges from 16 to 18 centimetres (6.3 to 7.1 inches), with the tail being significantly longer than the rest of the body. The head is longer than it is broad and squished down in the middle. The muzzle is curved inward. There is no dorsal ridge, and the body is slim and nearly spherical.
The base of the tail is rounded, but it narrows and becomes more compressed laterally as it approaches the tip. Both the dorsal and ventral fins on the tail are just slightly developed. The limbs are robust, and the fingers and toes are broad and thick. The back has a dark brown to black color, and there are golden, circular, but irregularly shaped spots all over it. Males have orange-red ventral surfaces, while females have yellow ones.
