Marbled Newt For Sale
The marbled newt for sale, or Triturus marmoratus, is a species of newt found only in the Iberian Peninsula and France. It is thought to remain locally plentiful in several regions of the Iberian Peninsula, despite persistent threats to its habitat from agricultural intensification; yet, in northern and central France, it is regarded to be endangered.
Appearance
The bodies of marbled newt for sale have a dark brown or black color with splotchy green markings. Their bellies are black and speckled with a pale gray. The rear of an adult female is orange, beginning at the top of the head and ending at the base of the tail.
This stripe is also present on male juveniles, although it begins to diminish at around 9 months of age. The enormous, wavy crest of a breeding male is longest at the base of the neck and tapers to a point at the base of the tail. Yellowish white and black stripes make up the crest. The average adult marbled newt is between 5 and 6.5 inches (13 and 17 centimeters) in length.
