Greek Tortoises are one of the most popular types of pets in the world. They are friendly and like to be around people. The key to their success is that they can do this and quickly adjust to new environments.

Our young Testudo graeca come from a group of adults with very pretty colors. Both our Golden Greeks and our Black Greeks come from colonies of adults who have been chosen for their better color over the course of two generations. We soak ours three times a week, give them a place to soak up UVB light, and give them tortoise food mixed with vegetables and a calcium supplement.

Sexing Your Greek Tortoise

When you order one of our medium or adult-sized reptiles, you can ask for a male or female tortoise, or any combination of the two. However, we cannot guarantee the sex. But we can promise that someone who knows a lot about reptiles will try to pick out the specific tortoise(s) you want.
